Mr. Damilola Owolabi, who happens to be the Head, Brands and Corporate Communications, Deekay Group, marketers of Nexus products in the country, said the brand shop would provide an exciting avenue for consumers to interact with Nexus’ line-up of products.

Mr Owolabi said, “We are thrilled to unveil our first Nexus brand shop in Nigeria where we intend to initiate several consumer-friendly activities and communications going forward, to constantly thrill and delight our consumers.

“One of such is the ‘Life has just begun’ campaign, with the sole objective of making home appliances a necessity for all. We call it a brand shop so that our consumers can come and see our variety of colours and products. We are also working on campaigns to communicate to consumers who aspire to own any of the appliances to know it is available, affordable and a necessity for homes.”

Deekay’s Head of Sales, Mr. Christy Augustine, said the touch point with consumers was necessary as a way of introducing them to the brand’s range of products and so that they would be better engaged.

“With the opening of the brand shop, our customers can see various ranges of affordable products and other services such as after sales services. This is expected to foster a deeper and more meaningful connection between the customers and the Nexus brand,” he said.

The Head of Human Resources, Deekay, Mr. Soji Obasanya, said the brand shop would create job opportunities for the youth.

Artistes like Mercy Aigbe, Yaw, Skales and Uti Nwachukwu were also present at the ceremony to support the brand.

Owolabi noted that the company intended to expand into other parts of the country for consumers to access the brand more easily than what it used to be.
